Certification, standards and industry recognition


Many of our customers, particularly in the public sector and industries where communications and information are mission critical, rightly demand that we have in place the appropriate certifications to recognised standards. These independently audited certifications demonstrate our commitment to driving for the highest quality of standards for our products, systems and underlying infrastructure.

ISO9001:2015 – Quality Management System

The Quality Management System of relevant processes, business systems, customer data, critical information and applications relating to Unified Comms, Mobile Products, Connectivity, SIP Trunking, Call management, voice products and the Core Network Infrastructure.

What is it: ISO9001 is the internationally recognised standard for a Quality Management System (QMS).

Why do we have it: A QMS provides Gamma with a framework which is designed to increase productivity, reduce unnecessary costs, and ensure quality of processes and products.

ISO9001 is also a pre-requisite standard for a lot of frameworks, bids and tenders, and is seen as our ‘licence to trade’.

Gamma has been certified to ISO9001 since 2013.

Certification is awarded in 3-year cycles with at least annual external surveillance audits.

ISO9001:2015 – Quality Management Certificate

ISO27001:2013 - Information Security Management System

The Information Security of relevant processes, business systems, customer data, critical information and applications relating to Unified Comms, Mobile products, Connectivity, SIP trunking, Call management, Voice Products and the Core Network Infrastructure in accordance with the Statement of Applicability v6.

What is it: ISO27001 is the internationally recognised standard for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The standard assures that Gamma has taken a risk-based approach to information security by identifying risks and selecting appropriate controls to tackle them. The standard has 114 controls across 14 categories and the 3 principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Why do we have it: The standard gives Gamma stakeholders re-assurance that the security threats including cybercrime, personal data breaches, vandalism/terrorism, fire/damage, misuse, theft and viral attacks have been risk assessed and mitigated.

ISO27001:2013 – Information Security Certificate

ISO14001:2015 - Environmental Management System

Telecommunications Network Operator – Environmental Management System of relevant processes, business systems, customer data, critical information and applications relating to Unified Comms, Mobile Products, Connectivity, SIP Trunking, Call management, voice products and the Core Network infrastructure.

What is it: ISO14001 is the internationally recognised standard for an Environmental Management System (EMS).

Why do we have it: An EMS helps organisations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste which gives us a competitive advantage and trust from stakeholders.

ISO14001 is also a pre-requisite standard for a lot of frameworks, bids and tenders, and is seen as our ‘licence to trade’.

Gamma has been certified to ISO14001 since 2013.

Certification is awarded in 3-year cycles with at least annual external surveillance audits.

ISO14001:2015 – Environmental Management System Certificate

ISO22301:2012 - Business Continuity Management System

Business Continuity Management of relevant ​​​​​​​processes, business systems, customer data, critical information and applications relating to Unified Comms, Mobile Products, Connectivity, SIP Trunking and Call management and the Core Network Infrastructure.

What is it: ISO22301 is the internationally recognised standard for Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Why do we have it: A BCM helps organisations prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected and disruptive incidents.

ISO22301 is also a pre-requisite standard for a lot of frameworks, bids and tenders, and is seen as our ‘licence to trade’.

Gamma has been certified to ISO22301 since 2013.

Certification is awarded in 3-year cycles with at least annual external surveillance audits.

ISO22301:2019 – Business Continuity Certificate

BS10008 - Electronical Stored Information

The call recordings generated by and stored in the Gamma Horizon Call Recording solution, commonly referred to internally as Next Generation Call Recording.

What is it: BS10008 is a British Standard that outlines best practice for the implementation and operation of electronic information management systems, including storage and transfer of information.

This British Standard provides organisations with a means to prove their electronic records are trustworthy and therefore can be used as evidence to resolve a dispute.

Why do we have it: Gamma has limited the scope of BS10008 to the Horizon Call Recording solution to assure the authenticity, integrity, and availability of the solution is trustworthy. The standard is governed by Gamma’s overarching Information Security Policy

Gamma holds a record of verification/assurance against this standard which is reviewed annually.

Health & Safety (CHAS)

All activity undertaken by Gamma UK.

What is it: Contractors Health & Safety (CHAS) is an accreditation scheme relating to health and safety which is part of the overall Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP).

Why do we have it: Having an accreditation in CHAS helps us evidence that we have a Health and Safety programme in place which mitigates supply chain risks to ensure the world is a safer place.

CHAS is a pre-requisite standard for a lot of frameworks, bids and tenders, and is seen as our ‘licence to trade’.

Gamma is an active member of CHAS accreditation scheme with re-certification annually.

Contractors Health & Safety (CHAS) certificate

Cyber Essentials Plus

Corporate Network.

What is it: Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials scheme. It is a rigorous test of an organisations cyber security system where cyber security experts carry out vulnerability tests to make sure that your organisation is protected against basic hacking and phishing attacks.

CE+ is a pre-requisite standard for a lot of frameworks, bids and tenders, and is seen as our ‘licence to trade’.

Why do we have it: Gamma is newly certified to Cyber Essentials Plus in February 2022 due to it being a pre-requisite of public sector related frameworks.

Certification is awarded annually.

Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate

MSCI - AA ESG rating

Gamma Communications plc has received a “AA” ESG rating from MSCI. MSCI are a provider of critical decision support tools and services for the global investment community and uses a “AAA” to “CCC” ratings scale to measure thousands of companies based on their exposure to industry-specific and financially material ESG risks. The organisations’ ability to manage those risks relative to peers is also considered when measuring and scoring so MSCI’s ESG ratings reports help institutional investors identify companies’ ESG risks and opportunities.
