Please tell us if:

  • Your landline is your only way to make calls
  • You do not have a mobile phone or there is no mobile signal
  • You use equipment powered by the phone line

Devices and Equipment
Please tell us if you use:

  • Alarm systems (including security alarms, personal emergency alarms, or panic buttons)
  • Healthcare or emergency pendants
  • Lift emergency lines
  • Monitoring or safety systems (such as traffic or water monitoring systems)
  • Payment terminals connected to a landline
  • Any other critical or vulnerable services

UK Critical National Infrastructure Sectors
There are 13 recognised sectors within Critical National Infrastructure (CNI): This includes organisations operating in the following areas with no resolution to their current communication solution:

  • Chemicals: Facilities involved in the production, handling, and storage of hazardous chemicals.
  • Civil Nuclear: Nuclear power plants, associated facilities, and the management of nuclear materials and waste.
  • Communications: Telecommunications systems, internet infrastructure, and broadcasting networks.
  • Data Centres:
  • Defence: Military sites, defence manufacturing, and supporting assets.
  • Emergency Services: Police, fire, and ambulance services, including their operational and communication systems.
  • Energy: Power generation and distribution networks, renewable and fossil fuel infrastructure, as well as oil and gas pipelines and storage.
  • Financial: Banking networks, financial market infrastructure, and payment systems.
  • Food and Agriculture: Food production, processing, storage, and distribution operations.
  • Government: Government facilities, data centres, and essential public services.
  • Health: Hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and public health services.
  • Space: Satellite infrastructure and associated systems.
  • Transport: Air, rail, road, and maritime transport infrastructure.
  • Water: Water supply networks and wastewater treatment facilities.

Much of the UK’s existing CNI still depends on legacy technologies. As organisations transition to full fibre connectivity, it is vital that these systems are migrated carefully and strategically to minimise the risk of disruption or failure across critical services.

You must let us know before the migration if you use any risk-to-life services or incompatible devices. Some equipment may need to be updated or replaced to work with Digital Voice.

If any of these services are critical for health, safety, or monitoring purposes, you must inform us immediately. Failure to do so could result in loss of service on the day of migration.
