“We can see that it’s popular and will be a good success. Exciting times”

That’s what Gamma’s Head of UCaaS Practice Andrew Robinson said about the launch of Service Suite. Considering its incredible potential for Gamma’s partners, we’re quite sure that “exciting times” wasn’t meant to be sarcastic.

Gamma’s latest venture into the Microsoft Teams space is designed with one thing in mind – do more with Teams. Whether it’s a Gamma partner looking to increase their margin, or their customers wanting a full Teams experience, Service Suite must be part of any portfolio.

The road to Service Suite

We’ll keep it brief; it all began with Direct Routing, with Operator Connect following on shortly after. Globally, Gamma is the 4th largest provider of Operator Connect and was one of the first providers to be selected to partake in the programme.

Despite the clear show of strength in voice enablement solutions for Teams, it “wasn’t exactly lighting up the Channel base”. Although Teams is a “must-have” for any partner portfolio, there needed to be more behind it.

What was needed was a bit of added value. Selling low-margin lines to voice enable Teams just wasn’t cutting it anymore. You could say that what was really needed was a comprehensive suite of Teams-centric services.

In true Gamma fashion, we answered the call.

Built to be “sticky”

The introduction of Service Suite is a shift away from a “transactional relationship to a value-added relationship”. In other words, Service Suite is primarily designed to complement our Channel partner’s Teams Phone offering. Thanks to this combination of components, Service Suite can offer a “more sticky service”.

According to Cavell, Teams voice is expected to secure a 41% share of the UCaaS market by 2028. Gamma’s partner community already know that they’d have to be crazy not to have a strong Teams portfolio. The influx of interest means partners can boost their margins, while offering their customers a better Teams experience.

That way, everyone will be a little stickier.

The comprehensive collection of components

But what contributes to that more complete service? What will be driving that increased margin for Gamma partners, and greater improved experience for their customers?

Again, to keep it brief, there’s a fair amount.

Service Suite is designed to be that one-stop shop when building that enriched Teams solution. Every addition included in Service Suite comes from Gamma’s own professional services, all of which drives significant value. In a way, it’s like a kitbag, or a “DIY Microsoft Teams solution”.

  • Headsets and Handsets: Teams collaboration can be so much more; your customers will gain full access to market-leading hardware, and optimised devices for simple, straightforward plug-and-play use
  • Teams Meeting Rooms Devices: Take that collaboration a step further by moving all those calls into smart, engagement-focused meeting rooms that gives everyone the chance to participate
  • Professional Services: There’s a “real push” to make sure Teams remains as effective as possible, meaning Gamma’s expert support is there to support the likes of implementation and end-user training

However, progress never stands still. There will also be plenty of opportunities to review Service Suite and “keep it evolving as we go”. That will be influenced by the conversations taking place with our Channel partners.

Always partner-focused

Gamma already has an established reputation as a customer-centric business, and that mindset has extended to Service Suite. All value-adds available on Service Suite aren’t compulsory purchases; rather, our partner’s customers pick and choose which products best suit their needs.

It’s like being “in a sweet shop”, but rather than a spontaneous, sugar-fuelled spending spree, those customers know exactly what they want.

Service Suite is flexible, and when customers receive that one service-wrapped bill, it “drives the simplicity of… Service Suite into our partners”. It makes it easier to manage and track expenses. For any partners new to Teams, they can take advantage of a more complete Teams experience filled with plenty of value-adds.

A look at what’s to come

As hinted by Andrew, “we’ve got a few things coming out” as we develop Service Suite over the next year. Those planned additions have been influenced through the input of Gamma’s partners. Their expertise gives Gamma the opportunity to add additional value and provide that sought-after service wrap-around.
