Gamma welcomes channel partners back to in-person events

Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading technology-based provider of communication services, has recently welcomed its channel partners back to in-person events and raised money for its chosen charities in the process.

Gamma’s annual golf and poker event took place last week at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield. The players took on the famous Brabazon course which has played host to four Ryder Cups – more than any other course in the world. Following a beautiful day in the sunshine everyone celebrated their successes (or commiserated how many times they had ended up in the bunker!) with a prize-giving BBQ and refreshments. The evening was topped off by a charity poker tournament which raised over £800 for Gamma’s chosen charities, Action Through Enterprise and SpecialEffect.

Earlier this month it was the return of the Mountain Bike or Road cycling event. The popular channel partner event is now in its 6th year and was held in Tring. The cyclists tackled the road or mountain bike courses, and they could choose between two road routes (40 or 67 miles) and two off-road routes for the mountain bikers (20 or 30 miles). The cyclists were kept well fuelled with breakfast before setting off, a pub lunch stop, and a much-needed BBQ to round the day off.

Andrew Smethurst commented:

“It has been fantastic to see so many of our partners face to face after more than a year of virtual meetings and events. We were delighted we were able to hold these events safely as well as raising money for our chosen charities. These two events were a great mix of sporting activity combined with well-deserved food and drink! Thank you to everyone who attended and the team at Gamma involved with organising these fantastic days out. We look forward to seeing more of our channel partners as the year progresses, especially at the Gamma Roadshows in September.”

Eamon Darwazeh, Head of Business Development at Solution IP and the winner of the charity poker tournament, said:

“Thank you, Gamma, Jameson and Papa John, couldn’t have done it without you! What a great way to network with other suppliers and the Gamma team, a great day all round. I’m glad to have helped bump the rebuy pot up for charity, with my charity of choice pleased also. Thank you for the opportunity and hospitality Gamma!”
