Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading technology-based provider of communication services, has been awarded a 3-year contract which has a value of £7,859,077 with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for the provision of its Microsoft Teams Direct Routing solution.
Microsoft Teams Direct Routing provides full voice telephony capability natively into Microsoft Teams, maximising existing Microsoft 365 licence costs and removing the need for additional hardware.
Value for money, flexibility and transparency were the main drivers behind the deployment of Gamma’s tailored managed solution, which provides telephony to thousands of DWP employees. The service also allows the DWP to monitor efficiencies through advanced management information, providing full visibility to the customer.
Leveraging a dedicated project management team from Gamma and DWP, the delivery process saw both organisations working closely together to ensure all targets and milestones were met as per DWP’s requirements and timescales.
Sam Winterbottom, Public Sector Director at Gamma, said: “We are excited to leverage our Microsoft Teams telephony expertise and solutions for the DWP. Gamma takes pride in our dedication to flexibility and being easy to do business with. With the deployment of our dedicated Microsoft Teams Direct Routing service, the DWP will be able to lower operational costs and improve communications. This won’t only benefit them, but also the people who rely on their services every day. We value our strong relationship with the DWP, and we look forward to continuing to work together.”
