‘Listening is such an important part of our channel strategy.’
At Gammaverse 2025, MD of Gamma Business Will Morey opened proceedings by heralding the ‘outstanding examples of the channel at its best.’ Right now, partners need to do more than survive in a crowded market – they need to be leading it.
By listening to partners and understanding their challenge, the Gamma Edge programme was created. But, as Will pointed out during his opening speech at Gammaverse, Edge is more than just a programme or a framework. It’s ‘a promise… that [Gamma is] aligned behind [partners]’ to drive their business forward and grow.
But what’s next for Edge? This new era of partner acceleration is just dawning, and only through collaboration with partners will Edge continue to deliver meaningful outcomes. While 2025 is ending, Gamma Edge promises to continue giving partners a ‘competitive edge [that tips] the game in [their] favour.’
Creating an unfair advantage
When looking to 2026, the question is ‘how can we make Edge edgier?’
With any new product or initiative, the question around how to make it better continually lingers. In terms of Gamma Edge, it needs to continue to have an impact.
Across 2025, plenty of time was spent talking about what Gamma will deliver and the purpose behind each of the 5 distinct pillars. It was a year that built the foundations of Edge, establishing its relevance and importance within the partner community.
In 2026, each component of the Edge programme must have an impact and deliver on everything Gamma has promised. As John Murphy, CEO of Gamma Business, said in his own session at Gammaverse, Edge is ‘our promise to connect Gamma’s strengths to your business.’
Delivering on insights
Right across the business, work is being done to improve the insights partners can access. CTO Colin Lees, for example, recently unveiled Project Falcon at Gammaverse and the work being done on the portal. Driven by the principle that ‘technology has got to solve customer problems,’ more data is being supplied to create insights that provide ‘a rich view of [a] customer’s estate.’
When partners gain access to these insights, only then can real change be enacted. The Partner Pulse pillar runs on data sharing and co-creating a future-proof strategy. Joint planning and personalised insights are instrumental in building both long-term value and growth.
2025 also saw the launch of the Voice of the Channel initiative. Holly Mack, Gamma’s Business Planning Director, has underlined how Gamma is ‘listening now more than ever’ to what partners need from Gamma. Collecting insights through the Voice of the Channel will strengthen how Gamma Edge shapes our partner’s future growth strategies.
The great migration
Once we reach 2026, the PSTN Switch-Off will only be a year away. Partners will need to better understand which of their customers are under threat from the end of the copper network. If they’re stranded on legacy technology, then their compliance capabilities are lacking.
Legacy technology introduces potential security risks. With Ofcom granted more powers to penalise and sanction through the Telecommunications Security Act, regulatory compliance is integral. Combined with the increasing importance of voice security, migration must be a top priority.
The main purpose behind the Migrate pillar is to simplify legacy transformation. Customer churn is mitigated through a process that reduces strain on resources and modernises customer solutions with minimal risk. Through this part of Gamma Edge, partners gain the support they need to get on that journey towards the next generation in technology.
Standing shoulder to shoulder
‘When we work together, we punch above our weight.’
Will’s statement at Gammaverse reinforced Gamma’s continued commitment to collaboration and cohesion with partners. While a new year means it’s the perfect time to start rewriting the rules, Gamma remains dedicated to helping partners win and grow.
Recent expansions in the UCaaS portfolio, such as the launch of Webex for Gamma, pairs well with the Boost pillar. All-inclusive minutes across the portfolio brings price-competitive connectivity and bundled offerings that help partners lead with value. Partners like Associated Telecom have already realised the ‘attractive proposition’ when combining Webex for Gamma with the Edge programme
Tiered rebates offered through Velocity means that the more partners grow across Gamma, the more they gain. The greater choice in UCaaS solutions will encourage partners to explore their own portfolio growth in 2026. A more diverse offering gives partners more opportunities to compete and navigate any future industry challenges.
All this is achievable with Elements, Edge’s underpinning pillar. Tools are never one-size-fits-all, and real value lies in diversifying the portfolio. Again, 2026 is the right time for partners to look at what Gamma has to offer and gain the edge they need to stand out in a crowded market.
Looking ahead to 2026
In 2026, Gamma will continue to refine the Edge programme and look at how we can give more support to partners. What will flow out will be more growth and larger margins. Each pillar will continue to push partner success and reward partners for their continued collaboration alongside Gamma.
As we head into 2026, Gamma will continue to ‘[put] every ounce of our energy’ into helping partners grow. When we say ‘One Partnership, Endless Possibilities’, we mean it.
